My Wanderland on its 5th year

Hooray for today! My blog is five years old. Yey!

Looking back, i usually write about anything under the sun. I mean i didn't care much about who might read whatever i had written or that it will interest them in some way. All i wanted then was to pour my heart out. Until such time i learned about social networking blogs which i joined myself in. I didn't change anything in my way of writing but i did become cautious of posting too much personal rantings (which i guess i didn't succeeded much with that) Anyway, i did make sure of having random posts that might be helpful to some readers out there. Being part of blog groups, and of something around the globe is such a good feeling and earning friends along the years of my blog existence made it all worthwhile.

Like  some other few, i also did several blog name changes until the year came (long time ago) when i finally become contented with it. Maria's Wanderland. I even bother my very busy closest someone to pick a blogname for me but ended up giving me too sweet names which i did appreciated but thought that it would be too cheesy for a blog. The funny thing is, i get annoyed then and didn't tell my chosen blogname to that someone but that someone managed to find out what it is in just less 24 hours after i had it changed. How sweet was that? I was really cluelessly amazed. A techy wizard huh?

This blog has been my wanderland for quite some time. It is where i put all those wandering thoughts and not-so-fairytale happenings of my life. I am usually in many things and almost nothing at the same time. Always been searching for anything that never change and always hoping that it would last forever.  I guess the wonder part of having a blog is like you have a collection of written memories that you can re-read anytime you feel like it.

My blog extension, which is Emotera's Notebook also on it's 5th year is the other side of me as a drama princess and a poet-in-the-making.  Mostly, i write there when i'm falling inlove, falling apart or just caught in between that's why i seldom update it coz sometimes i just don't feel any emotional words to choke out.

So there.. before anything else, i would like to take this opportunity to thank all my blogger friends, followers, commentors and readers out there.

Movie: Letters to Juliet

This is one of those sweet, heart-wrenching movies I have watched that proves true love does really exist. Some are lucky enough to find and be with their true love while some are still out there waiting to meet theirs. Some have their happily ever after but some ended losing each other in the middle, hoping that they could be together again at the end.

Just like in the movie, After 50 long years who would have thought that they would be together again? That was really quite dreamy. Who could wait that long enough? That was a bit unbelievable and yes, true love it is. Time doesn't matter at all. What matters most is the love that they feel for each other, no matter how far the distance, no matter how long the years that passed the right time love found its way for them.

When love is true, there is no such thing as "TOO LATE".

Sophie's reply to Claire's letter
Dear Claire,
What and if are two words as nonthreatening as words can be. But put them together, side by side, and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life.
What if?
What if?
What if?
I don’t know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love then it’s never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You only need the courage to follow your heart.
I don’t know what a love like Juliet’s feels like, a love to leave loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for, but I’d like to believe, if ever I were to feel it, that I’d have the courage to seize it. And Claire if you didn't, I hope one day that you will.

All my love,

Hope someone cared to ask.
You think so?
Damn it's true.
No expiry.

My Final Thoughts:

I dont believe in forever anymore, but i do have faith in true love. Because if love's true enough, no need to worry if it would last forever coz surely it will. Don't want someone who would stay forever rather someone who would also feel true love, true enough that there won't be any reasons to let go. Confusing thought. eh?

Second chances in love rarely happens. If ever it did, then they are meant to be. Most of the times, when the relationship ended, it stops right there. No hang-ups. But for some people who think what they had felt is "true love", the feeling stays and continue to grow even after they parted ways.

For those times you feel like giving up on love, thinking that no one will love you, consider to watch this movie. You'll realize then that there could be this someone really meant just for you. Someone looking or waiting for you. Someone who will love you with all of their heart and make you the happiest person alive.  It can be a stranger at this time, a friend in disguise or maybe a long-lost love you never thought would come back.

WHAT are you waiting for? IF you had the chance, hold on to it.. it's now or never.
Or you'll end up being haunted by those two words - What if?

When you love someone, they're a part of you.

It's like you're attached by this invisible thread and no matter how far away they are,

you can always feel them.

It seemed cruelly unfair, even then, how fast your life can change before you have an opportunity to rethink your choices. We should get second chances on the big stuff. We should come equipped with erasers attached to the tops of our heads. Like pencils. We should be able to flip over and scribble away mistakes, at least once or twice during the duration of our existence, especially in matters of life and death.  - God-shaped Hole

I hope things will fall right back into place. Patiently waiting.
