Kaboom January

Hello Blog world! I was kinda Popping in and out here for the past few weeks. Aww.. I missed a lot of  my fellow bloggers posts..will keep in touch soon. Was really busy this first month of 2013.  A lot of random things happened and a bunch of projects that keeps me really busy...errr im inBusyble.
That's more like it. haha!

There's nothing more i can say but to, still be thankful for everything in my life that comes along..no matter how good or bad it might be. There are things we never tell anyone. We want to but we can't. So we write them down. or we paint them. Or we sing about them.  Maybe we carve them into stone.  because that's what art is.  It's our only option.  To remember.  To attempt to discover the truth.  Sometimes we do it to stay alive.  These things, they live inside us.  They are the secrets we stash in our pockets and the weapons we carry like guns across our backs.  And in the end we have to decide for ourselves when these things are worth fighting for, and when it's time to throw in the towel.  Sometimes a person has to die in order to live.  Deep down, i know you know this.  You just can't seem to do anything about it.  I guess it's a sad fact of life that some of us move on and some of us inevitably stay behind.

Get it on Love Month! Even when i know on the 14th i'm gonna stay at home..haha! Alone ang peg.

By the way, this make be a very late one, but i'll still do it though.
Kindly visit and follow PBO's Official Blogsite thru GFC. Please do support and HIT Like via facebook and lastly follow via twitter @iHeartPBO.

That would be all..Thank you so much. Till next.

Barbie for Real

One cold night when i was searching for Barbie images for the tarpaulin design of my god daughter's first birthday, (i was looking all over Google coz i want the Barbie that is similar to my god daughter's dress.) Then  suddenly this caught my attention.. A real life Barbie!

This is 21-going-on-6-year-old Valeria Lukyanova (links to her Ukranian Facebook-y thing with LITERALLY 10,000 more photos of Little Ms. Vain). Valeria always dreamed of being a real life Barbie doll. And now, after numerous surgeries, she's finally realized her dream AND CAN HOPEFULLY MOVE ON TO ACTUALLY DREAMING ABOUT SOMETHING WORTHWHILE. Wow, of all the dreams in the world to come true of course it's squandered on the girl who wants to look like Barbie and not everybody hoping for a cure for cancer. "That little bitch." *pointing* That girl said it, not me!

Envy the Barbie-like waist and hips..aww! haha! I have seen some barbie-look-a-like but Valerie is definitely the living Barbie doll. I must say she's very pretty even without hoping for the barbie-like figure. No offense meant by that.

Going back, after long hours of searching for the barbie thingys for the design, here's the outcome.
I didn't edit the layout much. Just inserted the top 2 Barbie images for the same layout. My cousin choose the first one for they almost have the same dress.. Fab baby!

I wasn't able to attend her birthday at Jollibee - inBUSYble mode hehe! But then was able to send my gift that day.

Then, there i go seeing all the pinkish fabulous barbie dolls, i kinda feel like having a barbie princess-themed party next year..hahaha! Dress up like barbie for a day, feel like a rockstar princess.. who cares..ayt???

Well, how i wish so much!

Let me dream for a while..hihi!
Set up a fabulous party table like this with all the pink decors and everything

And these gowns i like to wear all for one day..Yey!

Too much dreaming, now i'm awake so i can make that fairytale dream-like come true..
soon, maybe.

Isme: Beauty and Fashion

"The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years"
When it comes to a question of age are you more likely to be identified as growing old gracefully or seen with the stigma of being a sight for sore eyes? Perhaps as far as you’re concerned age really is only a number and dressing in an age-appropriate manner or behaving accordingly is a worry not worth wasting your time over?

As is often the case when matters are open to debate, it’s often the extremes at both ends of the scale that spring to mind. Images of mini-skirted women in their mid-life come to the fore, along with too much flesh on display and an irascible inclination for hitting the nightlife hotspots. Similarly, at the other end of the scale sits the stereotype of a woman who is past her prime, invisible in elasticated waists, sporting the statutory shampoo and set. Being perceived as one of life’s Peter Pans is viewed with as much disdain as being an old has-been.

Men can quite often get away with so much more than women and are judged far less on their appearance. Inappropriate behaviour is excused more readily, irrespective of age, and the assertion that men generally age better than women is practically a self-perpetuating myth.

Perhaps this is because men tend to have thicker skin than women in more ways than one. Collagen production drops dramatically during the menopause and this, combined with the fact that a man’s skin contains more collagen than a woman’s in the first place, tends to mean that the signs of ageing are accelerated in a woman when compared with those of a man.

Generally speaking, men also seem programmed to care an awful lot less when it comes to their appearance. They tend not to trouble themselves with the trivia that women do. Looking to the catwalk to work out what style is in fashion this season and dashing to the shops to get the latest dresses with sleeves are considerations that barely register on the masculine radar.

Age, although merely a number, can bring with it a certain amount of wisdom. Appearance is ephemeral and the earlier we learn to recognize that fact, the better. Sadly, it seems that it’s only as we get older that we appreciate the obvious. Life is all about spirit and character, the captivating factors of an individual’s personality that make them the interesting and appealing person they are. “Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.” -We want Sleeves

A Boy's Love

I saw this story while browsing on Facebook and couldn't help it but to share by posting it here.
Really heart touching.
_______________________________________________________________

I was walking around in a Big Bazaar store making shopping, when I saw
a Cashier talking to a boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old..

The Cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy
this doll." Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ''are
you sure I don't have enough money?''

I counted his cash and replied: ''You know that you don't have enough
money to buy the doll, my dear.'' The little boy was still holding the
doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give
this doll to. "It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so
much . I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY."

I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my
sister when she goes there. His eyes were so sad while saying this.
"My Sister has gone to be with God.. Daddy says that Mommy is going to
see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with
her to give it to my sister...''

My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: "I
told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I
come back from the mall." Then he showed me a very nice photo of him
where he was laughing. He then told me "I want mommy to take my
picture with her so my sister won't forget me.I love my mommy and
I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go
to be with my little sister."
Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly..

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. "Suppose we check
again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''

'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to
his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough
for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money!"

Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to
sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so
that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me! I also wanted
to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't
dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll
and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses."

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.
I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered
a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck,
who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to
recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news
paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn't stop myself as
I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where
the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make
last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a
beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and
the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling
that my life had been changed for ever...

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is
still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a
drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Buko-Strawberry Pandan Jelly

From our Quezon trip, we brought home a dozen of buko, way more cheaper than here in Manila. The day after we made Buko Salad..yummy! Then the remaining buko was for this Buko Pandan. It was by curiosity that i mix Buko Pandan with Strawberry..I wonder how it would taste? I would also love to add some fresh strawberries if i had some. (I want to go to Baguio's Strawberry farm and do the berry picking..yey!) So there for now, i just used flavored jellies.
Yumminess in a few easy steps! Here's how:

For the Jelly: (directions from the Mr.Gulaman pack)
  1.  Measure 6 cups of water in a casserole (not warm or hot)
  2.  Gradually sprinkle 1 pack of Mr.Gulaman Jelly powder mix into the water while stirring constantly.
  3.  Dissolve completely.
  4.  Heat. Continue stirring until jelly comes to near boil.
  5.  Remove casserole from heat.
  6.  Let jelly set at room temperature and serve when jelly is firm enough to cut.
  7.  Refrigerate for faster setting.
*Separate boil for each flavor.

Preparation:
  1. Cut the jelly into cubes. Set aside.
  2. Mix the Nestle Cream and Condensed milk in a large bowl.
  3. Add the Buko strips and Jelly.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Chill before serve.
TADAAA! Easy isn't it?
and so yummy too! ^_^

New Year Mountain Trip at Banahaw

Last December 31, we drive off to the province of Dolores, Quezon where we spent our New Year. It was a 5-day trip with the family. We stayed at the very top of Mount Banahaw, the holy mountain, A one-hour trek until we reached the place where we can put up tents. It was really cold! A bit colder than Baguio's weather i guess. You wont sweat a bit. When it's sleeping time, I had 2 jackets over my shirt and 2 pajamas with a thick blanket haha. takot ginawin.   It gets really dark at 6:00pm. The sound of the crickets are all over the place.

Poor cellphone signal and no electricity up here. We use flashlights, candles and gaseras. For those who are not familiar with gasera, it's similar to lampara, a bottle with a cloth tip and gas inside that serves as the fuel for the light. Really back to basics, natural living. We cook food with the help of dried branches from trees or commonly called, gatong. Food cooked in gatong has a different taste, an aroma that is undeniably craving for. Even a simple noodle soup tasted so bongga, you'll really ask for more. We also had spaghetti, pansit canton, laing, bicol express and a lot of yummy unique foods. Postponed diet  Everyday is like fiesta hehe!

On the second day of our stay, there's a medium-sized silver gray snake appeared under the dapog (fireplace) where all the gatongs are. We were all in shock, someone got a stick then the other got an itak (bolo knife) I was really terrified. The other day, another reddish brown snake was found near the portable restroom, its a bit smaller than the other one but they said that it is more poisonous. From then, i become scared especially at night. What will happen if there's a snake beside me and before i know it, it bit me already. I can't even go to the CR alone haha.

Some of our far relatives was also here so it's more like a family gathering.  Every night, we pray and each time we visit holy caves and waterfalls. Btw, we've been going here since i was a kid along with my cousins during vacation months especially when its Holy Week.

From the other side of it..Peaceful view i hope i have wings so i can fly..mehehe!
Lost in green way to Mt.Calvary
Mt. Calvary (Kalbaryo)

Among the popular destinations in Mt. Banahaw include "Kalbaryo" (Calvary), "Kweba ng Diyos Ama" (Cave of God the Father), "Husgado" (Cave of Judgement), and the allegedly curative spring at Brgy. Kinabuhayan. Aside from the three Durungawan viewpoints at the summit, hikers can also explore the cave and the crater view overlooking Guis-guis and Tubig ng Gatas and Tubig ng Dugo rivers.

Along the length of Cristalino trail are some attractions such as Cristalino Falls, Suplina Falls, Salamin Bubog, Kweba ng Diyos Ama, Pintong Lihim (Sacred Door), and Niluhuran. On the other hand, the trail of Tatlong Tangke passes by the Kapatagan (plains) and the three natural water tanks.

Found within the Kinabuhayan area are the Bakas (Christ’s foot print), Santo Calbaryo (Calvary), Tres Personas, Ilog ng Landas, Ina ng Awa, Husgado Cave, Kweba ni San Pedro, Kweba ni San Pablo, Prisintahan, Dolorosa, Piedra Mental, Ciudad Mystica, Buhok ng Birhen, and Nunong Lalake.

Centipede..eeeeeewwww!

Every time i see a centipede....
when i was a little girl,  i freak out.
Now that i'm big, i just say: "Hello Centipede, may i pass?"
(then i'll hold my breath and wait for it to go away until it's gone haha)

Flower Shots
And lastly, my most favorite shot,
A meaningful sunflower
Like it tells us that life will always be beautiful no matter what.

Before we finally go home, we stop by the nearby places along the way. Bought a lot of vegetables and a dozen of Buko. How we wanted to buy more but there's no place in the car to put them. it's only 10 pesos each! We had buko salad the day after. hihi!

I really enjoyed the trip. I love the nature so much, the cold breeze of the unpolluted air, the green scenery, how i wished we can stay longer.  Just that, as soon as we got home, that's the time i felt my whole body aching in pain. Aching na, pain pa..san ka pa hehe! My sleeping muscles has been stretched too much so it's Ibuprofen to the rescue..thank God.  Looking forward to go back here this Holy Week.

Till next! Hope you all had a very happy new year celebration too! ^_^
